Pr*sident Trump has signed an executive order prohibiting people from the following countries from entering the US:-Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Libya and Yemen. Even if they have a valid visa, even if they have a green card.  These are majority Muslim countries and Trump states that after the 90 day hold he may allow Christians from these countries to enter the US.  This is doing tremendous damage to the reputation of the US, and has already resulted in retaliatory action.  It is probably illegal, and certainly appears to be in violation of the first amendment presenting a religious test for entry.

This racist creed will not accomplish the stated goal of preventing terrorism in the US and is likely to make us less not more safe.  Consider the list of countries who’s citizens are banned: Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Libya and Yemen.

Now look at some of the terrorist incidents in the US conducted under the pretense of Muslim fanaticism and the country of origin if the perpetrators:

9/11  15 from Saudi Arabia, and the others were from the United Arab Emirates (2), Egypt and LebanonNone of those countries are impacted.

Boston Marathon Bombing: Chechnya, a Russian enclave, not impacted

2010 New York City bombing (Failed): Pakistan, Not impacted

St. Bernadino Shootings: One US born one Pakistan, not impacted

2016 Orlando nightclub: US born

2016 NY/NJ bombing: Naturalized US citizen from Afghanistan.

Anyone else notice a trend here?  We appear to be banning people from countries who don’t engage in terrorist attacks in the US.  However with one exception each of these countries have been subject to US military action either through invasion, bombing or drone attacks within the past 20 years.

One might even be so bold as to point out that the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and several other countries provide financial support to terrorist organizations, yet their citizens get visas.  Perhaps it has something to do with Trump enterprises in those countries.

Its almost as if our forigne policy was being run by a bunch of juveniles who know nothing of the real world and the genuine threats we face, but that would obviously be unpossible.  I bet the president is just trying to compensate for the small size of his crowds.
