While you are all arguing about the merits (or otherwise) of Palin and her various activities the USA turned in to a police state. As most of you know the Republican National Committee is having a convention in Minneapolis. As many of you know various individuals have planned on expressing their first amendment rights. For those who remember a similar event four years ago the police are going to go to great lengths to prevent the protestors getting even close to the convention center.
Yesterday and today they went even further, raiding houses, and arresting people before the event started on suspicion that they may protest. The Minnesota press has multiple reports on this activity. Personally I was disgusted by this activity, Food Not Bombs a non violent direct action group appears to be a major target.
